Pretty in Pink

As fun as bubble gum, the button-tufted twin beds are flea market finds. They are covered in a vintage pink cotton fabric embossed with red velvet buttons. The curtains are also vintage.

In-house Treehouse

These custom-built bunk beds are made from aspen logs with birch paneling.

Kid Cupboard

This double bunk has storage below and a built-in ladder system. On the floor is the Margherita carpet by Marni.

Ship Shape

The bunk room of this house features custom beds with porthole windows and trundle beds tucked below, to sleep six in all. Rug is by Beauvais, with walls in Benjamin Moore's Rosy Apple.

Arts & Crafts

This attic aerie gets its classic feel from reproduction Stickley spindle beds on a braided rug. Shades in Merriwether Stripe from Ralph Lauren Home.

Seaworthy

Antique buoys, ship models, and blue-and-white stripes are another way to introduce a nautical theme. Boats & Buoys bedding from Olive Kids and Garnet Hill fleece blankets are on a Kendall bunk bed from Pottery Barn Kids.

Stars & Stripes

A flag theme creates a bright, boyish mood.

Surf Shop

As boys gets older, a raffish, colorful surfing theme can be combined with more traditional nautical touches.

Perfect Princess

For girls, a princess look is the ultimate bedroom décor. The canopy here was bought at auction in Paris, with an antique child's chair to match. The silk on the bed and pink mohair on the chair are by Todd Hase. The walls are in Benjamin Moore's Glacier White.
