The 46 year old designer, a graduate of East Carolina University, used her broad experience, unique creative vision and strong network of supporters to secure the win.

"I knew I had a solid vision, but there's no way I could have accomplished it without all the help I had from my friends in executing my design," said Tollefsen. "I'm still amazed at how many people voted for me! I didn't realize I had such a large base that appreciated my work and believed so strongly in me. It's just wonderful!"

The show presents unique Internet-based programming, giving seven interior designers the opportunity to decorate the primary living areas of seven new model homes within a single new home community - all within a set budget. Viewers follow the designers' progress through weekly webisodes, blogs and journals. The winning design is ultimately chosen by the public's vote.

"I think Susan's strong performance surprised a lot of people because the other designers didn't initially see her as the one to beat," said producer Paula Knorr. "She wasn't outspoken about her talents, but ultimately her design really stood out with all its unique and distinctive elements. That's what set her apart."

Tollefsen was selected from over 200 applicants from across the country. As the winning designer, she walks away with a $25,000 cash prize.

"We knew we wanted Susan as a cast member as soon as we saw her application," said producer Kelly Burnette. "In addition to a strong portfolio, she had this quick wit and amazing personality that we were certain would appeal to our audience."

Since the show first premiered on June 15(th), the online competition has drawn over 100,000 unique viewers from across the country, primarily through its grass roots word-of-mouth marketing efforts. Fans can continue to view this season's new webisodes through October 19(th).

'Nation's Next Top Model Home' begins its new season in the Spring of 2010. Producers are currently scouting the next host community location and applications are now being accepted for next year's cast of designers at www.NationsNextTopModelHome.com
