The Pagoda Lamp by Bao-Nghi Droste is inspired by the characteristic shapes of Asian temple roofs where the edges seem to be pulled up by an invisible force. In this lamp’s case the suspension ropes appear to prevent the body from falling down.



The Pagoda Lamp is inspired by the charasteristic shapes of asian temple roofs where the edges seem to be pulled up by an invisible force. In the lamp´s case the suspension ropes appear to prevent the body from falling down while ts diffusor that consists of an acrylic frame covered with a white, bielastic fabric seems to underlie the force of gravitation, as if the bright mass is about to fall down to the ground and thus distorting the lower surface.
